Trained on the Directorsí Course at the Drama Centre London, Vladimir Mirodan has directed over fifty productions in this country and internationally.  He has taught and directed in most leading drama conservatoires in the UK and was, in turn, Director of the School of Performance at Rose Bruford College and Vice-Principal and Director of Drama at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.  Between 2001 and 2011, he was Principal of Drama Centre London, part of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, a federated College of the University of the Arts London. In April 2010, he was seconded to the role of Director of College Development at Central Saint Martins.  He was appointed Professor of Theatre of the University of the Arts in July 2010. Vladimir Mirodan was Chairman of the Conference of Drama Schools between 2000 and 2006 and Deputy Chair of the National Council for Drama Training during the same period.

Vladimir Mirodan served for many years on the Council of the Directors Guild of Great Britain and was Vice-Chair of the Council and Chair of its Theatre and Training Committees. He has had a life-long interest in the training and support of emerging directors and was responsible for establishing several directing courses in a number of drama schools. In 2009 he returned to work for the Directors Guild as a Trustee and from 2011 to 2015 he was Chair of the Directorsí Guild Trust.
