Terry Jones ScreenTalk + The Meaning of Life

DGGB 30th Anniversary event | On November 4th 2014, the Guild Trust marked 30 years with a very special screening of Monty Python's The Meaning of Life and presented director Terry Jones with an Outstanding Achievement Award. Terry introduced the film to a packed audience at the Barbican Cinema. After the screening of the film Terry was welcomed onto the stage for a ScreenTalk with Brian Sibley and an audience Q&A, followed by the presentatation of the very special award - in the shape of a giant "wafer thin mint".

In The Meaning of Life the inimitable gang of Pythons present their take on the meaning of life taking us from birth to death, by the way of mutinous accountants, lessons in sex education and the (almost) indefatigable Mr Creosote. [UK 1983, DIR Terry Jones, 102 mins]

Guild member Terry Jones is a film director, screenwriter, actor, comedian and author. His upcoming feature Absolutely Anything (2015) is a sci-fi comedy starring Simon Pegg, Kate Beckinsale, Eddie Izzard and Joanna Lumley, with the voices of Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, John Cleese, Eric Idle, and Robin Williams in his final film role.
